We provide advice mainly to network operators and other energy utilities, but also to their customers, on all energy-related legal issues.
In particular, we advise and represent clients in connection with liberalization under the new Energy Industry Act, especially with regard to antitrust issues. This involves above all questions on the use of electricity and gas grids as well as the drafting of energy supply agreements and the transfer of utility plant after concession agreements have expired.
A further important area of our work is the law on the feeding of electricity into the public grid under the Cogeneration Act and under the Renewable Energy Act.
In addition, we provide advice on issues relating to collective bargaining law, rights to use land and the assertion of claims under invoices for energy supplies.
Furthermore, we offer comprehensive advice to utility companies in questions not specifically related to energy. This mainly involves public law, where we have extensive experience in public procurement law. However, we can also provide expert advice through our Construction & Real Estate and Corporate departments on issues concerning construction, real property and corporate law.
