Our law firm opened the office in Rostock already on 01 August 1990. In the first few years our work concentrated on supporting medium-sized and small businesses largely proceeding from formerly state-owned enterprises in their transition to the legal and economic system of the Federal Republic of Germany and advising entrepreneurs about starting up new businesses. Since the mid-nineties the areas "corporate law" and "real property and construction law" have developed. With five lawyers at our Rostock Office we advise and represent above all medium-sized enterprises and the public sector.
In our corporate law department we advise our clients in particular on matters concerning company law, buying and restructuring businesses, contract law (including international contract law), labour law, administration law, as well as penal law concerning businesses and tax offences.
In our real property and construction law department we provide our principals with comprehensive support in realising real estate projects of all sizes, focusing on the law governing building construction, architects and engineers, the law governing award of contracts, land law and the law governing commercial tenancies.
Our Rostock Office is involved in a variety of ways in the economic and social life in the region, including the Rostock Region Marketing Initiative, the Ostseeinstitut (Baltic Sea Institute) and the Institut für Bankrecht (Institute for Banking Law).
