
Dr. h.c. Peter Schulz, born in Rostock, 1930.
Peter Schulz was trained in Hamburg where he was admitted and joined the firm in 1959. In 1966, he suspended his professional activities after being elected for the Government of the City State of Hamburg. 1966-1970 Minister of Justice, Hamburg. Vice-Mayor and Minister of Education from 1970 to 1971. Mayor of Hamburg and President of the Senate (Prime Minister) from 1971 to 1974. After retiring from the Government he returned to the firm. From 1978 to 1986, besides working with the firm, he was speaker of the Parliament of Hamburg.
Until 1999 Peter Schulz was Honorary Consul of the Kingdom of Norway for Mecklenburg-Vorpommern and president of the Attorneys' Professional Court in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern.
Mr. Peter Schulz was awarded the title of Doctor Honoris Causa by the Phlosophical University of Rostock.
